Her Story
" I dedicated my whole life caring for family. As the oldest of seven, with both parents working in the rice fields of a remote small town in the country of Philippines, I took on the role of a caretaker for my younger siblings as soon as I was able to walk and talk. This molded me to the person I am today and led to my first experience caring for the elderly. Year 1999 was when my mother and father In-law’s declining health required full time care from me. In 2007, after they passed, I moved across the world to Washington State, taking on as many odd jobs I can, before getting in the medical field. Years later, I eventually worked in multiple adult home facilities and hospitals. For the duration of five years I met wonderful people, making deep rooted connections, and lifelong friendships. This experience fueled my desire to open my own Adult Family Home. Woodland Adult Family Home has been established since 2012, and still standing strong. It is a place where I can treat your family, like mine. In memory of my loving parents, I see them in every person that needs care. In every woman, I see my mother, who loved staying at home to watch her soap operas and news channel. In every gentleman, I see my father, who loved cooking just as much as gardening. This facility is more than just a job or a place, it is a piece of my heart. "
